1. What is Mobii?

Mobii is an elegant and powerful mobile application that will ultimately unleash the potential of your mobile phone by bringing push email, blog, instant messaging (MSN, GTalk, Yahoo Messenger, QQ and Mobii Chat), remote desktop access, push RSS, PIM synchronization together to create a breathtaking mobile experience. You may install it on any standard mobile phone, such as Nokia, Sony Errison.
You no longer need to waste loads of money on an advanced PDA phone, or a heavy laptop that is difficult to carry around. Just install Mobii on your mobile phone now, and carry the whole world with you!

2. What kind of mobile phones Mobii be installed on?

Mobii can be installed on all mobile phones that supports JAVA or Windows Mobile platform.

(1) Mobile phones that support Java MIDP2.0. For example:
NOKIA :6230i, 6233, 6280, 3250, 6680, N70, N73, 9300, 6630, E61, 9210c, 7610, 9300
MOTOROLA :V3x, E680i, A1200, A1000
SONY ERICSSON :P900i, P990i, M600i, W800i

3. How to download and install Mobii?

We provide two ways to download Mobii:

(1) You can visit Mobii website and input your mobile phone number. We will have the download link pushed to your phone through SMS; You may download it on computer, transfer and install on your mobile phone through Bluetooth, infrared or cable. The whole process will not incur any cost.

(2) You may download it on computer, transfer and install on your mobile phone through Bluetooth, infrared or cable. The whole process will not incur any cost.

After you have successfully downloaded Mobii, you can install it on your phone. For convenience, it is highly recommended to set a shortcut for starting Mobii application.

4. How to add contact on mobile client?

Mobii contacts include Address Book contacts and Mobii Friends. Contacts in Address Book can be imported from your local mobile phone address book, synchronized with Outlook desktop application, or entered manually. Besides, when you receive the first email sent by a new contact person, by replying the email, this new email contact will be stored automatically in your Address Book.

You and your friends can always be connected through Mobii. They can be added either on our desktop client or mobile client. Here we will discuss how they can be added on mobile client.

You can SEARCH for potential friends among Mobii users according to certain criteria, such as gender, age and online status. Choose the person you’d like to add and send a friend request. Once he/she accepts your request, the two of you will become Mobii Friends.

If you know the Mobii ID of your friend, you may just enter “chat” or “contacts” interface and select “add friends”. Key in your friend’s Mobii ID, and select “ok”. Your friend will be added.

Remarks: You are not allowed to change your friends’ personal information. However, you are allowed to change your contacts’ information in the Address Book.

5. What is sharing in MoSpace?

Users can create shared folder in MoSpace. As the owner of the shared folder, you can share any specified folder with specified users. At the same time, you can also view the files shared by other users, but you are not allowed to modify or delete them.

6. What kind of email servers does Mobii support?

Mobii push email supports POP3/IMAP servers. Emails can be pushed to your mobile phone from any email server that supports POP3/IMAP.

Please take note that:
For Gmail accounts, please enable their POP3 service (Go to the “settings” page to configure). For Yahoo.com email accounts, POP3 service is not available to free users, so the emails cannot be pushed. (However, Yahoo International email accounts such as Mobii@yahoo.uk provides free POP3 service. Therefore, you can send and receive emails from those accounts on Mobii)

7. Am I able to view the full content in the pushed emails?

(1) In order to save data usage, every sent / received email will display the first 2K of its content.

(2) If you want to view the full content, please select “more” in the menu to proceed.

If you’re using Standard Edition (Free), you are only allowed to view the first 2K of any email content, and email attachment feature is disabled.

8. Why is it that I cannot login?

(1) Check whether your mobile Internet connection setting is correct.
 
(2) Check whether your mobile Internet connection setting corresponds to the “connection type” in Mobii. It means if you have chosen a connection setting (such as CMWAP or M1 MiWorld) for the first time, you need to choose the same setting from then on.

If you need to reset the connection setting, please select “setting” from the main menu in Mobii. Change the “connection type” accordingly and restart Mobii.

(3) Check whether your mobile phone support MIDP 2.0

(4) This problem caused by small phone memory size. We recommend you to install Mobii on the memory extension card. If the memory of your mobile phone is less than 512KB, it is difficult to run Mobii properly. As a result, unpredictable consequences such as “unable to login" may occur.
